Please select your region:

To find electric vehicle charging incentive programs applicable to you, please select your location from the regions below.

Commercial

Most simply, these incentive programs are designed to lower the cost of installing EV charging stations, making it more appealing for individuals, businesses, and municipalities to transition to the technology. Depending on the specific type of incentive, you might receive a direct reduction in cost, a rebate after purchase, a tax credit to offset your tax liability or even a decrease in energy costs from the utility company.

EV charging incentives come in various forms. These include federal, national, state, and city-based programs. The incentives for installing EV charging stations can differ between countries and even within states or cities. Some examples include tax credits for installing EV charging equipment, lower electricity rates for off-peak usage from utility companies, grants for workplace EV charging, and programs that cover a large percentage of the cost of public charging infrastructure in critical locations.

Residential

It would depend on the specific incentive. Some EV charging incentives are available to anyone who installs an EV charger in a particular country. In contrast, others might be targeted at specific business types or only applicable in certain areas.

You can select your region from the incentive tool above and then filter to your area. We try to include as many EV charging incentive programs as possible. However, it is always worth checking with your local government or utility company for more information on available incentives.

Utility

Promoting the use of electric vehicles and the development of EV charging infrastructure, these incentives help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to a cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable future.

EVSE stands for Electric Vehicle Service Equipment which includes EV charging stations and EV chargers. EVSE is a common term used throughout different incentive programs, but simply put, it is used the same as  EV charging stations.

Conditions vary between the different types of incentive programs. The time it takes to apply and receive your incentive will differ. Please check with the administrator of the incentive program for more details before your purchase.

EV charging incentives will vary. In some cases, they can be relatively small amounts; however, in other cases, they can be a large percentage of the total cost of an EV charging station, covering most of the expense. Please use the EVESCO incentive selection tool to find all the incentives applicable to your project.

In certain circumstances, you might be able to apply for a rebate for an EV charging station, even if you purchased the charger before the start date of an incentive program. For clarification, please check with the program administrator.

While we strive to keep our database up-to-date with available EV charging incentives, it may not be fully complete. If you come across an electric vehicle charging rebate or incentive program that isn’t included, or if you know of a recent change to a program we have listed, please let us know.
