EVESCO, part of Power-Sonic Corporation, is seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Application Technician (Electrical) to join its growing team in EMEA, Nijkerk, NL location.
In this role, you will support the deployment, operation, and optimization of EV charging infrastructure and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and technical support, both on-site and remotely. The job requires frequent travel throughout Europe.
This position combines field service, technical expertise, and customer interaction, making you a key technical representative of the organization. You will also contribute to internal battery testing and application validation across multiple industry segments within Power-Sonic EMEA.
You work closely with Engineering, Product Development, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure effective collaboration and continuous improvement across all activities. You actively participate in training programs to stay up to date with the latest products, tools, and service procedures, while consistently ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including those related to medium-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service & Technical Support
• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and repair of EVESCO equipment (EV chargers and BESS)Â
• Execute electrical installations and perform system diagnostics and troubleshootingÂ
• Provide remote support via phone or video conferencingÂ
• Follow commissioning procedures and collaborate with EPC contractors, engineers, and customer technical teamsÂ
• Deliver on-site product training to customers and partnersÂ
Battery Applications & TestingÂ
• Support application validation and provide technical input to Sales and Engineering teamsÂ
• Conduct in-house testing and validation of battery solutions across segments such as Medical, Industrial, Network Power, and DatacenterÂ
• Perform lead-acid and lithium battery testingÂ
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Electrical background required (electrician certification, associate degree, or equivalent experience)
• Experience in field service, electrical systems, or industrial environmentsÂ
• Experience with EV charging, BESS, or similar systems.
Technical Knowledge
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, installation, and field service practicesÂ
• Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, and electrical safety standardsÂ
• Experience with technical documentation and commissioning proceduresÂ
• Fluent in English and DutchÂ
You demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, combined with effective communication skills that enable you to interact confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You bring a customer-oriented mindset and present yourself professionally in all situations. You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, even in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
