JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We are seeking a driven bi-lingual sales support representative to lead Power-Sonic’s sales efforts with current and prospective distributors, system integrators and value-added resellers in the Central and South American market. The successful candidate will manage existing relationships for growth and pursue new opportunities and projects with channel partners and OEM’s throughout the region.  

POSITION SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

The primary function of this role is to accelerate growth at existing accounts, develop new business opportunities, and deliver top-line revenue in a profitable manner consistent with budgeted requirements. Key duties include developing and managing the existing customer base in Latin America and achieving specifications with targeted OEM’s and end users. The successful candidate will collaborate with all stakeholders to develop strategies, set goals, implement sales plans, and deliver growth targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and close new opportunities for market share within existing client base and through a vetted group of customer targets. 

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage client relationships, and oversee the sales process from prospecting to contract execution. 

• Screen potential new business opportunities for strategic fit, potential, profitability and growth. Maintain pipeline of 3x sales target and report on prospective activity and results. 

• Close new business opportunities by coordinating communications, deal requirements, negotiating contractual commitments and gaining necessary client commitments. 

• Participate in strategic planning process to ensure alignment with goals. 

• Understand the competitive landscape, market trends and channel structure to institute changes in response to changing market conditions. 

• Generate and execute customer growth plans while measuring success against targets.

• Manage administrative procedures in the sales process and support cash collection and project management activities, where required. 

• Prepare sales contracts, proposals, and reports for management of business opportunities. 

• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.

• Other duties as required and requested by senior management. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

– 2-5 years of proven customer-facing sales success of meeting/exceeding sales targets. 

– Experience with battery technologies and energy storage systems a plus.

– Fluency in English and Spanish required.

– Ability to travel to Mexico City 1-2 times per year.

SKILLS

– High level of computer literacy and strong business acumen.

– Demonstrable negotiations skills and an effective sales process.

– Enthusiastic, positive, initiative-taking and have strong leadership skills.

– Strong verbal and written communications skills.

– Competency within Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

– Experience with CRM solutions for productivity, efficiency, and communications.

– Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
